Critical Time to Speak Up
About Medicare Reform
November 13, 2003
Congress is preparing to consider the final negotiations of a 17-member Conference Committee on Medicare reform. It is during the Conference Committee when the real "nuts and bolts" of legislative details are determined. That is why all citizens should demand that their Representatives and Senators read thoroughly the final Conference Committee report before casting their votes on it. (The full House and Senate must approve the final negotiations.)
Additionally, all citizens should be given adequate time to study the final details themselves, as the program affects all of us!
Is it too late to get involved with Medicare reform? Not at allthere couldn't be a more important time to voice your own opinion about forthcoming changes to the massive Medicare program!
